Inez Rosecella (Broses) Kerlin, 83, of Clyde, died at her home on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Inez was born in Fostoria on May 16, 1933 to the now decesaed William H. and Louise (Reinhart) Brose. She was a 1951 graduate of New Riegel High School.
For 17 years, she worked as a clerk-educational aid for Clyde Green Springs/St. Mary School.
Mrs. Kerlin was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clyde; the Altar Rosary Society and served as a extraordinary minister. She was also a member of OAPSE.
On August 29, 1953, she married Willard John Kerlin. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2001.
Survivors include their four sons; John William (Denise) Kerlin of Fremont; Donald Joseph “Joe” (Judy) Kerlin of Clyde; Paul Eugene Kerlin of Clyde and Kenneth Joseph (Peg) Kerlin of Friendswood, Texas. Five grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren survive as well.
Two brothers, Francis Brose of Tiffin and Andrew John Brose of Sycamore, along with five sisters; Anna Lannes and Lucille Smith both of Fostoria; Jeanette Lucius of Bucyrus; Alice Lucius and Roseann Mayer both of Tiffin also survive.
Mrs. Kerlin was preceded in death by a grandson Dustin Kerlin and six brothers; Virgil Brose; Paul Brose; Jacob Brose; Bernard Brose; William Brose and Herman Brose.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4-7:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The Rosary will be at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Ed Schleter officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or St. Mary Catholic Church or the Donor’s Choice.
